Of the 25 or so nine and ten year olds who witnessed tonights set from DJ Epic and MC Awesome there will be thousands claiming in ten years from now that "I was there!". There's already a big enough buzz about this duo on the decks for them to be headlining events as prestigious as Morgan's birthday party, and in future, from the dancefloors of Ibiza to the muddy fields of Glastonbury to the
columns of Mixmag this could well be looked back on as a seminal moment.
It's fair to say that Awesome and Epic absolutely smashed Haslington Village Hall, many thought that A&E were an accident waiting to happen when they both appeared in the booth sporting a woolley hat and shades but they soon showed they knew their crowd by churning out floor filling hit after hit after hit. Following a raucous highly charged game of musical statues which controversially ended with joint winners A&E knew what would get the feet of 9 year old girls straight back on the dancefloor, they still had 'Gangham style' in their back pocket. By the time the parents had arrived to wait by the door for their exuberant young party goers the lights were off and the dancefloor was reaching it's climatic end to the sound of 'Party Rockin' and a blur of glow sticks. Each of those toe tapping parents will no doubt one day also feel the right to claim "I was there", and who can blame them?
In a nutshell this party was totally EPIC and absolutely AWESOME.
Happy Birthday Morgan!!!

I was there last night and unfortunately this review does not do Epic and Awesome justice. Covering your eyes would have you thinking Carl Cox and Norman Cook were behind those decks
This brought back memories from the Hacienda days, glad I was there to see the live birth of two superstar DJs
Hey up Tongy! Didn't see you there! Two simple words for these guys. Epic!. Awesome!
Utter rubbish, can't see the attraction. Although I was there of course it was only to see what all the fuss was about and of course to celebrate Morgan's birthday
Big shout out to A&E! There's a real scene developing now and you boys can push it forward. Happy birthday Morgan!
