£100m guilt money?

The UK will send £100 million humanitarian aid money to Yemen.  Great! BUT.....  over the last year the British government has approved over £3 billion of arms sales to Saudi Arabia.  What would make more difference?  £100m aid? OR the Saudis not having £3bn worth of new missiles to drop in Yemen?

Report on BBC news
Report on RT.com

Over 7000 Yemenis have died including over 1000 children, 19 million people lack access to water or sanitation, while 80 percent of the population are in need of humanitarian assistance.  Why?  Because Saudi Arabia and their coalition didn't like the new government in Yemen is pretty much what it boils down to, they think they might be too friendly with Iran.  So they blast the country to pieces using bombs bought from Britain and with the blessing of the US government but everything is fine because they are Saudi Arabia, we'll send some aid money and hopefully the media will just report on that and not on the reason why they need the aid.
