The following images make me think that once us humans have fucked up our world enough we'll all be extinct but nature won't give a shit, in fact nature will thrive and just carry on without us. If the entire history of our earth were in book form then human civilisation would make a short paragraph at very best. We think we rule the world but either we'll destroy everything that keeps us alive or natural events will do that for us sooner or later anyway. When we're gone, everything carries on regardless. Nature always wins.
