worth his weight in gold?

After Man City progressed to the champs league semi finals last night I spotted this on BBC iplayer that says "De Bruyne worth his weight in gold"

• According to wikipedia Kevin De Bruyne weighs 68kg

• the current price of gold is £28,400 per kilo

• So his actual weight in gold is worth £1,931,200 

Now that's a lot of money but in August 2015 Man City signed De Bruyne from Wolfsburg for £55million which means that if he is considered to be worth his transfer fee then he is actually worth 28 times his weight in gold.

By these calculations, despite being shite, bottom of the premier league and definitely relegated, I reckon that Aston Villa players are probably worth their weight in gold!

With the Premier league title going right down to the wire Mourinho, Rogers and Pellegrini are all still playing it down insisting that the other two are favourites "we can't win it now, the pressure's on them", well it's all very cool and everything being so calm, philosophical and aloof but what we'd like to see is some Kevin Keegan style passion back in these post match interviews!

city have won the title with the last kick of the season, more drama than you could ever predict.  it was all going pete tong when QPR went 2-1 up and utd were 1-0 up at sunderland.  but 2 city goals in injury time! amazing! gotta be the most exciting end to a season ever. Joey Barton though, what a prick, he's made himself look a total bell end, no doubt he'll be back on twitter quoting Plato soon trying to convince us all he's cultured, not fooling anyone.

Monday night was city v utd for the big title crunch match so seemed a great chance to get the boys round for beer, curry, crisps and xbox. Shouting at the tele, chugging beer, watching in wonderment at scott's warrior like goal celebration, mikes stubborn defence of gary neville's punditry, the genius of ali's over excited crisp lucky dip, yoc's obsession with stealing peoples shoes, scott's bare footed walk home, the lucky lucky luckiness of gaz's xbox triumph. Good banter all round. Love these nights! Beer, mates, footy, banter, curry, xbox, (almost) everything a man needs. Oh and city won 1-0 btw
