this is one of my favourite photos i've ever taken in all its grainy glory. it was taken whilst on safari in kenya in 2008, we were at the lodge in the night which looked over to a watering hole. it was pitch black but we could hear the faint shuffling of animals across the water. with a telephoto lens and a 30 second exposure time i managed to get this eerie effect. its off centre framing is due to it being pitch black and slight blurring due to movement and... well being pitch black, but all of that makes me love it even more. its completely uneditted including the colour.
