The promised land

No more talk about Zionist pigs this time (see previous two posts for that) but having missed out on tickets to the promised land of Glastonbury this year I needed a festival fix.  V festival has degenerated into a pathetic joke of a festival, I remember watching Queens of the stone age, Foo Fighters and Red hot chilli peppers all on the same night 10 years or so ago and this year I'm pretty sure they've got Justin timberlake headlining supported by some x factor types.  So with v a definite no it's off to latitude festival in the morning down in Sussex somewhere to enjoy something more creative and real.  I've ironed a small pile of clothes and then stuffed them all crumpled into a backpack, all you need after that is a tent, something vaguely waterproof, a ticket, some money and a smile.  Don't bother with all the other crap, people drag too much shit along to festivals. I say travel light and just take basics, border on being feral for a few days.

Glasto

Now THAT is a festival line up! Take note v festival with all your x-factor kids, if you want to be taken seriously then look at this http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/
Some bands I'm excited to see are Django Django and Palma violets, and then there's the once in a lifetime have to see... Public enemy! Yes you heard! Throw in the xx, chase and status, portishead, netsky, the rolling stones, crystal castles, vampire weekend, skream, smashing pumpkins and already its looking like a very random absolutely classic line up.  Also just to make it even better... Well, it's Glastonbury

glasto is go!

Survived the online ticket scramble and got myself a glastonbury ticket, well done me! been telling myself there was some skill involved, I think my button pressing was stealth-like enabling me to beat the system and sneak onto the booking page.
Unfortunately Bec isn't going, she didn't want to because it will clash with triathlon season, it's a shame because Bec is the best fun ever at Glastonbury, wont be the same without her.
I managed to get tickets for Wil and Sadie too with my skillful button pressing but feel a bit bad because Keith had no luck and I could have got him one too at the same time if we had been organised enough and swapped registration details in time, sorry Keith!
